The Edinburgh Independent Film Festival showcases and celebrates the achievements of independent filmmakers. The Festival attracts a vast array of filmmakers from across the globe, and brings them together during the Edinburgh Fringe festival.

The Edinburgh Fringe turns the city into Europe’s cultural capital, with tens of thousands of fans of creativity and innovation coming to discover outstanding new talent. The artistic atmosphere in the city is absolutely alight, making it the perfect place to present the best of independent films to enthusiastic audiences.

EIFF displays the work of filmmakers who present exciting approaches and innovative solutions to working with limited budgets. The film selection will reflect a broad survey of the latest in independent film trends, with a focus on creating a space for bright new talent to really shine.

In 2014, EIFF will show over 100 low-budget features, documentaries, and short films. EIFF will be based in the outstanding venue of the Scotsman Hotel’s screening room, with five-star surroundings located right in the centre of town.
